Ep 37 Steve Price
Welcome to the FOGS Queenslander Podcast Episode 37!
In this episode, our host Mark Braybrook is joined by FOG #108 Steve Price, a tireless workhorse and one of Queensland’s most respected State of Origin forwards.
Born in Dalby, Queensland, Steve carved out an incredible career as a rugged and reliable prop forward, racking up over 300 first-grade games between the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and the New Zealand Warriors. He captained both clubs with distinction and was a key part of the Bulldogs’ 1995 and 2004 Premiership-winning sides.
On the representative front, Steve became Queensland’s most capped forward during his time, making 28 Origin appearances from 1998 to 2009, while also pulling on the green and gold in 16 Tests for Australia.
In this episode, Steve reflects on leadership, his incredible work rate, the pride of the Maroons jersey, and what it meant to finish his career as a true Ironman of the game.
