Ep 36 Dallas Johnson
Welcome to the FOGS Queenslander Podcast Episode 36!
In this episode, our host Mark Braybrook is joined by FOG #156 Dallas Johnson, one of the toughest and most relentless defenders to ever wear the Maroons jersey.
Born in Herberton, Queensland, Dallas made his mark in the NRL as a hard-hitting lock forward, renowned for his prolific tackling and work ethic. He played 157 games for the Melbourne Storm, appearing in four consecutive NRL Grand Finals between 2006 and 2009.
Following his time in Melbourne, Dallas took his talents to the Super League with Catalans Dragons, before returning to Australia to finish his career with the North Queensland Cowboys, adding another 65 NRL games to his name.
On the representative stage, Dallas was a key figure in Queensland's Origin dynasty, playing 12 games for the Maroons from 2006 to 2009, and he also earned a Test cap for Australia in 2007.
In this episode, Dallas talks about his career with the Storm, Cowboys, and Catalans, his experiences in the Origin arena, and what it took to be one of the game's toughest defenders.
