Ep 35 Chris McQueen
Welcome to the FOGS Queenslander Podcast Episode 35!
In this episode, our host Mark Braybrook is joined by FOG #183 Chris McQueen, a versatile forward whose career has taken him across the NRL, Super League, and the representative stage.
Born in Brisbane, Queensland, Chris started his career as a winger and centre before transitioning into the forward pack, where he became a powerful second-rower and loose forward. He played over 100 games for South Sydney, helping the club to a historic 2014 NRL Grand Final victory, before stints with the Gold Coast Titans and Wests Tigers.
Chris also made a significant impact in Super League, playing for Huddersfield Giants, where he won the 2022 Lance Todd Trophy as Man of the Match in the Challenge Cup Final. On the representative stage, he played six games for Queensland in State of Origin and earned an international cap for England in 2017.
Now back in Queensland with the Brisbane Tigers, Chris reflects on his NRL journey, Origin memories, and his time playing in England.
