Ep 32 Kerry Boustead
In this episode, our host Mark Braybrook is joined by FOG #3 Kerry Boustead, one of the most electrifying wingers in Rugby League history.
Born in Innisfail, Queensland, Kerry made history when he became the youngest player ever selected for the Australian Kangaroos, a testament to his incredible talent and speed. Over a career spanning more than a decade, he played for Eastern Suburbs, Manly-Warringah, Hull Kingston Rovers, and North Sydney, leaving a legacy as one of the game’s greatest try-scorers.
Kerry’s impact at the representative level was just as remarkable. He played 9 times for Queensland, scoring 8 tries, and represented Australia in 25 Test matches, crossing the line 15 times for his country. He was also part of the early years of State of Origin, helping to shape the legendary rivalry between Queensland and New South Wales.
In this episode, Kerry shares memories from his playing days, what it was like to be a teenage sensation in the game, and how he witnessed the evolution of Origin football firsthand.
